Honda Hoot 2007
The Honda Hoot will be in Knoxville, TN June 20-23. More than 16,000 motorcycle riders are expected to be in town to take part in the festivities.
There are plenty of exciting activities for these visitors, including planned rides in Knoxville and surrounding areas, parties, concerts and just about anything to make sure that the visitors have a hootin’ good time.
The planned rides, which will take the bikers to destinations such as Cumberland Gap, are for pre-registered bikers only.
Chilhowee Park, which is known as “Honda Central,” will have its lawn covered with vendor tents. The vendor expo includes booths that sell a variety of items, including leather apparel and anything to improve the appearance or performance of your motorcycle and clothing.
Event goers who want to take a ride on the wild side can ride the latest models of motorcycles at the event’s manufacturer demonstration rides.
Admission to the Honda Hoot vendor expo and demo rides is $15 for a one-day pass. Guests who present a valid Tennessee driver’s license can purchase a daily pass for $7.
The event gates will open at 8:30 a.m. June 20-23 at Chilhowee Park.
In addition to the vendor expo and demo rides, the event coordinators have planned several parties where event participants and locals can mingle.
Bike Night will be held from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. on June 20 at World’s Fair Park. Guests will be treated to live music and games. Concessions will be available.
Then, on June 21, at the Knoxville Civic Coliseum, bikers will be able to enjoy the “Knoxville Icon Contest and Back to the ‘50s” party. Some lucky person will be named the “Knoxville Icon” during the singing contest portion of the evening.
The Honda Hoot will come to a close after Saturday Night on the Square, which will be held from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. on June 23 at Market Square. The event will offer four stages of live music, a ferris wheel and Artist Alley, where local artists will display their work.
Bikers who want to take part in the scheduled Honda Hoot rides should pre-register. Prices are $55 in advance and $60 onsite. HRCA members can register in advance for $48 and $55 onsite.
